January 4, 2014. Going on a little adventure tonight. Meeting a stranger with a ticket to a metal show at Bottom of the Hill. It doesn’t really seem like my kind of metal or my scene, but also seems ok, so it will probably be fun. This is what I chose to wear. It’s actually a Chinese nighty and a goth velvet robe. Perfect match in SF. I’m sleep deprived. Worked a double last night after only 3 hours’ sleep, then only napped 3 hours today, so I’m not really looking my best. Will sleep well tonight I bet.
So…back from the show. It was ok. The second to the headliner band, Acid Kings (I still think they should change their name to Acid Test or Acid House) were the best. I got a cool t-shirt designed by the artist this show was to benefit, I think it’s Allen Forbes. I saw a bunch of beautiful people I didn’t know existed before. Some of them expressed something like that to me as well. I was reminded that The Bottom of the Hill is the last place I saw Isis and got to meet Aaron Turner, my personal guitar hero, a little over a year ago. They all thought I dressed odd, but I still think it was perfect. I think they think so too. ;-) I had the tiny epiphany today that I am of the age, especially in SF, that I can wear whatever the fuck I want, and I DO have the swag to pull off most anything, and people will know it is intentional, and nobody will care. I’ve earned it, and they all know it. Yay!
Today’s shoot was quick and dirty. I know they aren’t great photos. Just documentation / journaling.
August 18, 2013. Afterparty. Inspired by Matthew. Dealing with mixed lighting, the sun rising, good practice. Very San Francisco background for a San Francisco boy. ;-) Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell. Dress: Glamorous. Hair: me. Tattoos: Clifton Carter & Mary Joy.
January 1, 2013. Almost went to Breakfast of Champions. Almost went to Stompy. I hadn’t had enough sleep. Planned to go to bed early NYE. Went to Beretta for a bite & ended up staying late, thanks to Vince making my old fashioned glass bottomless. Good times. But then I got paranoid that I looked too old or too silly in this outfit. It was a burning man party in SF. Like anyone would have cared. Another case of my fun being sabotaged by social anxiety. I even called a cab, but while waiting, freaked out and cancelled it. :-(
Habit. May 29, 2012. Boots. I haven’t worn these boots since my ex, ex, ex, ex’s wedding in the mid ‘90’s. Glad I kept them. I like them. Out for Adam’s birthday gathering tonight. <3 with friends. Photo bomb by Riley, of course. :-)
I will cut you! Apparently doing something right. Walking Riley in my hood & a cute guy who looks 18 asks me for my number. Of course I’m suspicious and respond with a “no!” and pull out my blade to be ready. I think he really just wanted my number. So cute. Must have a really big dick. #blade #knife #olloclip #mohawk #dog #motorcycle #ducati #purple #pink
May 5, 2013. Black Milk. Star Wars leggings as promised, and my favorite Jeffrey Campbell shoes…so far. These must weigh about 10# per shoe. His other designs, I can wear for 12 hours, these…not so much. I paid. The leggings: R2D2 & C3P0 of course. Two of my favorite droids. This was just playing around post Sunset Boat Party. If you want to see the porno versions…you have to know me well, and ask nicely and privately. ;-)
Daily habit. December 19, 2012. Polka dots. To celebrate the return of my eczema, I thought I would highlight it here. There is the shot of my leg with the eczema spots. They cover the entirety of both my legs & my arms and a little on my torso & face. I feel so unsexy I may as well be a cow. Going to be a long time before anyone sees my nude body again. :-(
I’m convinced it is a food allergy since it comes on so suddenly like a rash, and I have a lot of food intolerances. So, I’m back to a very strict diet. Should be losing those unwanted pounds of fat now. :-) And hopefully get rid of my spots sooner than last time. I would like to have sex again, with another human, before I turn 50.
